Liability For Unauthorized Transactions

Tell us at once if you believe that your Sno Falls Credit Union VISA Check Card or Personal Identification Number(PIN) has been or may have been used without your permission, or has been lost or stolen. Immediately contacting a Sno Falls Credit Union (the credit union) representative by phone is the most effective way of reducing possible financial losses.

If you contact us within two business days of learning of the loss or theft of your card, total losses to your account should total no more than $50.00 if someone else were to use your card without your permission. If you have not contacted a credit union representative within two business days and the credit union is able to probe that efforts on your behalf to report the stolen or lost card were not made within this two day period, you may be obligated for the full amount of unauthorized usage of your SFCU VISA Check Card.

In the event that you notice that your monthly account statement shows transactions you did not make, CONTACT THE CREDIT UNION AT ONCE. If you fail to inform a credit union representative within 60 days of the mailing date of your statement and the credit union can prove that the illegal card usage could have been stopped by doing so, you may be obligated for all unauthorized use of the SFCU VISA Check Card after 60 days.

Should an emergency such as extended travel or hospitalization prevent you from contacting the credit union, a reasonable extension of time will be granted.

The liability stated above does not apply to unauthorized use of your card in "credit" transactions.
